Christians, Atheists and others: Who wrote the Bible, and how can we believe or not believe?

I know , i do not believe like theists do , that no gods or devils exist outside of ones properly brainwashed mind ! Ancient scared shepherds while sitting out in the desert around a campfire every night smoking the local desert weeds told stories of mythical deeds which ended up on papyrus . Years and years later someone found some of the old stories and read them and thought they came from god . The shepherds also taught the religions how to brainwash their flock so they obeyed for ever , by constant repetition from womb till adulthood the beliefs you want the kids to excel in . tg

Well the Bible has 40 different authors. Who come from three different continents and the Bible was written over a 1,500 years, and most of these people never met eachother. And the fact that it does not contradict its self in any kind of way makes it very believeable. Theres no way 40 different people over a milleniums time could right a book that did not go against what the others wrote about. Thats like me writing a comic book and I only write half of it. And I live in Georgia and some guy in California writes the rest of it exactly where I left off. Its obviously no coincidence that these guys wrote about the same God. It was definitly inspired by an outside force that was able to contact everyone who wrote a part of this book. As for the snake and stuff. Ha I would rather you not investigate the evidence for that. You'd be getting into stuff that would really scare the freak out of you. But you can ask God to come into your life if hes real. Just ask him be like God if your real I want to know. I want to know you if your real. Just come into my life and show me your ways and if your real I will follow you for ever and ever. And you would have to mean that prayer. And then that will be proof to you whether or not God is real and if anything from his word(Bible) is true. Have a good day man.

Depends if you mean OT or NT. We don't actually know who the authors were for most of the bible, It is clear from different styles in the OT that it was written by quite different people. For example, in some parts of the bible God is manifest and appears human like, in others he cannot be seen.

Moses can't have written the first few books as Christians think, since he wrote about hos own death then?

Your pressure isn't priceless in studying, marking and inwardly digesting the Bible. Some components of it are absurd, whilst others are chic. Common experience and an educated camparison of one of a kind passages within the scriptures is foremost to a rightly educated studying of the textual content.

The people who wrote the bible were story tellers the bible is ASTROLOGY and these following passages prove it

GENESIS 37 9 -10

Joseph and the eleven other brothers are the 12 ZODIAC SIGNS that are the children of the SUN AND MOON (this story is the foundation of the christian and jewish faith)

This is virgo who is dressed in pre dawn radience about to give birth to the rising SUN and the 12 stars are the zodiac signs

Jesus is the SUN he raised from the dead on SUN-day has twelve ZODIAC signs that follow him

30 is the age jesus started his ministry

the sun takes 30 degrees to go through each sign

30 is a SOLAR number

SAMSON in the bible means like the SUN in hebrew and his story has the multiples of the solar number 30

The bible was written by a lot of dirty, stinky bronze age "people". They spent their lives in fear and darkness hoping something was to blame. As a religious person you are required to believe everything written by these post-caveman authors except the parts that really don't make sense. We call those parts "allegories" to hide the fact that it's nonsense.

It was written by various folks a few thousand years ago.

It's quite irrelevant whether it's believable or not BECAUSE I seriously doubt that these writings are the only and absolute walkthrough that people in modern times can use to live a good life.

Moses wrote the first few books, David wrote a few, the apostles wrote some of the newer ones... A compendium, one could say.

I don't believe that which is unbelievable. If the bible says such and such city was in this country and it is verifiable by archeological evidence, fine. If the bible says a snake talked, I call a bullsh*t on it.

i'm not going to go thru the bible for u becuz i just dont have the time and it isn't hard to find out. different ppl wrote different parts of it. Some parts can be verified to to be true such as who the authors of some texts were. And just like any other religion, we believe by faith based on what we read
