Does anyone know where to find a list of interesting features of classic cars?
We were watching old car ads (50s & 60s mostly) in my advertising class today and some of them had some really kooky features. Pop-up vanities, slide out tables, fold-out steps, one even had a sunshade that came out of the roof! Lol! I was just wondering if there was anywhere that I could get a list or find out what other interesting/weird features some older cars had.

I have never seen a single site that goes into a lot of detail. There were a lot of old cars out there and Hemmings Motor News has articles in the monthly edition that covers some old model or car line.
A lot of things are on the web but you need to know car makes to find them and some may not even have a site (is there a site for the Sears and Roebuck automobile for example).
Which brings me back to Hemmings, they have the most complete list of cars ever marketed in the US. By using that list, you could try to find other odd or unique features. Such as the early car just mentioned that did not have a transmission, but instead a power take off from the fly wheel. When you wanted to go into reverse, you swung the lever past dead center and you backed up.
