Ask her in person. Yes it is very hard to do but think something in your mind that will take your mind off the hardship of asking her. Whenever I ask for a number I think "she is going to say no, she is going to say no...." over and over again, so when she says yes, it feels as if the world has been lifted off of your shoulders. Don't rush things. Start with small talk and gently ooze in to phone numbers. Here is what I usually do... Let's say we were in a parking lot (true story) waiting for or parents to pick us up. We were complete strangers but she was sooo hot. I walk over to her, head held high, and I said "hey" she said "hey" then we got into a really funny conversation about our parents always forgetting us and then I say "So you have a phone right?" (if she says no then forget trying to get her number, she's lying and cocky). She says "yeah". Then I say "So that means you have a number.". Then she gave it to me. Good luck. STAY CALM
