    Yes.

I believe that to be sufficiently detailed.

People should not be ruled at all. People should be free.

You have it backwards. The government should be ruled by the people, not the other way around.

In a political system, people should be represented by a small group of wise people acting in the best interests of the people, who hold the real power.

A representative government is a good system of government for a large population because most of the people would be, or should be, busy with other matters than dealing with the day-to-day operation of managing a government. It is no different from hiring someone to take care of your children while you are at work. Ideally they are your employees; they do what you want them to do; they do not rule your life; they serve you.

It is your chose to make, some people like the representation and some like to have one leader, others like to have it where everyone has a equal say.

The one method of government that has been the most widely used is representation, since it makes everyone feel like they are being listened to (but not at all).

So, yes it is the best type of government so far, in the way one bad thing is better then the worst thing.

You're asking us to do your homework for you, aren't you?

But the short answer: Yes. It's efficient. Do you really think everyone in the country would be willing to spend the time necessary to vote on all laws directly?
