(ASKING AGAIN) HP LAPTOP CHARGER PROBLEM?

I've had an HP Laptop for more than a year, and my charger(s) has given me problems before.

Many times I had to angle it weirdly, get a new one, etc.

So for a week now, my laptop has not been charging. It worked a little last week, but every time I change its position, it stopped charging,

I have two charger adapters, and one wall adapter, see here: http://i56.tinypic.com/2qu18g1.jpg, but neither is working. I used the wall adapter for another charger for another device and that is working properly.

(A LITTLE WHILE AGO I JAMMED ONE CHARGER IN THE LAPTOP AS HARD AS I COULD AND IT STARTED CHARGING, BUT WHEN I TOOK MY HAND OFF IT STOPPED)

I blew on the battery and in the chargers but nothing, have any ideas?

(one reply said "my port charger pin is out of order"??????????)

    Hello:

If you look at the charger and the connector tip is not damaged, most likely you have a bad DC jack. This is the connection within the laptop and should be fixed by a professional. If you are under warranty, send it in so they can try and fix it. If you are not, then you should take it to a local computer repair store.

    Best of luck.

I have had that exact problem. The problem is the power jack that is connected to you laptop motherboard. In order to repair this you will need to buy a power jack from the manufacturer, tear apart the laptop and solder the new jack in place (obviously you would take the old jack out), or send it into the manufacturer for them to repair. You can do a temporary fix and take apart the computer and use a small screwdriver and bend the prongs inward to tighten the connection.

The jack where you plug in your charger is broken. It is not making a good connection. I fix these all the time, mostly because people step on the cord while it's plugged in and it pulls the jack out of the solder connection. You need to take it to a computer repair shop and they should be able to solder it back for about $50. If it can't be fixed by soldering, you will need to buy a new motherboard.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com/

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

When you must angle to start charging, I indicates that power jack is broken, see this link http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Know-Laptop-Power-J... In this case, need technician to repair it bc it relates to motherboard and other component.

It sounds like the connection (port) INSIDE your laptop is loose, or broken.
