HP Officejet 6500 printer doesn't print anything in black ink?
I have an HP Officejet 6500 all-in-one machine. All the sudden I can't get it to print anything in black!
That is peculiar because I know that black is printed as a combination of other colors, while I can print in any other color!
Not to mention I have tried all troubleshooting steps and all cartridges are OK.
Any ideas on what is causing that problem?
Please don't answer by telling me to contact HP...

Well, you're half right: black is a combination of cyan + magenta, IF the black cartridge is missing. So your black cartridge may be empty or the nozzles are dirty.

Your printer doesn't actually make composite black. You do need a black cartridge in order to print in black.

I wiped the black printer head with a q-tip with alcohol and still not black. I wiped it with Windex and still no black printing. I am so frustrated
