an electrical circuit is the flow of electrons through a controlled circuit from a source (battery/cell)

    series:

a one-cycle circuit that has only one path and can be controlled by only one switch.

-if the switch were to be turned off the whole circuit would stop.

    -voltage changes(not always equally however)

-amperes stays constant throughout the circuit

    parallel:

a circuit that can be separated into different paths or branches to control multiple different loads.

-voltage is always constant in these.

-amperes changes per path or load.

-total amperes of circuit = the amount of branches in the circuit (unless otherwise indicated).
