First of all, don't bleach your hair. My friend had dark brown hair and wanted to dye her hair red too, I recommended her to my hairdresser and she suggested blonde and red foils. It look really good afterwards. I think you should go to your hairdresser and see what they can suggest. They also might recommend some good and bright red dyes for you to try.

i don't think that red hair dye on brown hair would look good.

i had dark brown hair and wanted to dye it ginger, i had to give it a bleach bath and then dye it ginger once it was a lot light, my hair wasn't in that bad condition and i love the colour, i suggest you do that.

I think blonde hair is sexiest, but brown hair can end up being really sexy too. Black hair will be never sexy. It's just really dull and boring and flatters few constitution. Blonde hair looks best with azure eyes.

I would not bleech it first!! Bleech is for blondes in my opinion and damages your hair.
