How would an english person find out about summer camps in the usa?

SO if you wanted to send your child away to usa for some time in the summer - how would you choose a summer camp for them? Has anyone heard of any kind of camp expo or like a fair where all the different camps go and you can talk to them? but in the uk? I know they have them in america

No, there is no such a gathering of Summer Camp representatives. Most of them fill their ranks via word-of-mouth recommendations, or through advertising in high-class magazines. I can't help bu wonder what you think your child would get out of the enormous expense of sending them to the USA for a two-to-four week "camp" at which their accent and lack of common experience would cause them to stick out like a sore thumb, and possibly be ridiculed.
