In an early James Bond movie, he gets married and becomes a widower all within the last 5 minutes of the movie?
I don't know of any other Bond movie where he gets married again. In a later movie a dear friend gets married and the wife dies in right after the wedding, shades of his own tragedy. This is a good frame for his character of remaining aloof from anything personal. Does anybody else know of a movie where he gets close to marriage? I saw one where a colleague mentions that he was married once when the lady complained about him seeming too aloof. Am I missing anything?

James Bond seems "attached" and not too emotionally distant from his love interest Kira Milovy in "The Living Daylights" and James Bond seemed more like he was emotionally connected to her and not a user....

Married / widowed?
In On Her Majesty's Secret Service (novel 1963 / movie 1969), James Bond marries, but his bride, Teresa "Tracy" di Vicenzo, is killed on their wedding day by his archenemy, Ernst Stavro Blofeld (via one of his aides Irma Bunt).
Close to marry again?
Due to Bond's personality I would say he was not close again to getting married. I just can not believe him until I see him saying "I do."
