Problem with Microsoft Word Bullets?
I am doing an outline on Microsoft Word and after I used the page break function, my bullets started to mess up. When I click on the bullet button, there is just a huge space that shows up where I had my centered title on the other page. It is driving me crazy and I can't complete my outline so please help!!
Occasionally, the bullet comes back but it is in the middle of the page. And when I move it to its correct position, the second bullet goes right back to the middle of the page. But the main problem is with the bullets showing up at all. Its almost like a glitch.

To open your document to include bullet style paragraphing/arranging, go to Format and click on Bullet Style. Now comes the somewhat tricky part. If you clicked on Bullet Style to activate it, then before typing the next sentence unclick on Bullet Style it will continue to mark the bullets until you go to the very first bullet in your document and delete it before unclicking on Bullet Style in the Format options.

I think that you used a page break to create a title page separate from the rest of the document. If this is the case, you should have used a Section Break.
You are likely being messed up by the formatting that belongs to the first page and a page break will not give you a "fresh" section to start with.
Also, are you using Outline View or are you just creating an outline in Page Layout View. It is difficult to tell what exactly you are doing but the proper way is to use Outline View and the heading styles that Word has. If you have never used Outline View and styles before, it can be somewhat confusing but it is well worth the trouble to learn how to use styles.

When you are using bullets that extend over multiple pages, don't use Page Break. Word should automatically make the transition for you.
