Is Marlboro's Outwit the West contest a scam?
Marlboro does not provide the answers, so there is no way of knowing. however, based on answers provided by those who received at least 100 points per set of questions, it seems Marlboro is not awarding the points according to their rules.
There were weeks were I had the same answers as those who received over 100 points for a particular week, while I received between 35 points - 85 points. if I have the same answers, wouldn't I have received the same number of points?
I also received a Weber grill. That does not mean the Outwit the West contest is not rigged in some way.

I dont know anything about this contest thing but think of it this way. Marlboro is a HUGE and extremely profitable business who corners a pretty large portion of cigarette sales. The likelihood that they are trying to run a scam is infinitesimally tiny, considering all they have to lose. Those companies are damn careful about not doing things that would certainly get them sued, such as fake contests.

If you go to the rules of the contest on the Marlboro site, it tells you how they score the questions, unfortunately they dont tell the answers. And they dont tell you what each question is worth. But they do tell you that they are worth 25,50,or 75 based on difficulty. If you play the game you will earn points. And if you are here on yahoo answers, you are bound to get some right and get some points. After 3 weeks I have 330 points. Its not a scam. Marlboro does this for business. We got a weber grill recently just for participating in their last promotion. My husband has gotten plenty of nice things from Marlboro. Whats the scam? You participate, and you can get things for the points you earn.I call that awesome!

Like Daisy, I got a Weber grill from their summer game that I played. I see it as a huge company making lots of money and this is good advertising for them. Have fun and enjoy the rewards.
