Could goose down jacket dry-clean?

Someone said dry-clean is OK, while someone said no. Anyway, dry-cleaning is costly.

Can I clean it by my washer?

my white goose down jacket is dirty. I have nothing to wear if dont clean it this week. :-(

I wash my down coat all the time. Mine is light pink color so I use warm water & the gentle cycle in the washing machine. I've used many different laundry soaps so I don't think it matters what kind. Put it in the dryer on a medium setting with 2-3 clean tennis balls. The balls will help fluff up the jacket and move the "down feathers" around so they don't get stuck in like one sleeve.

i do no longer advise device washing a down jacket. I did that when and ruined it. in case you could not get to the dry cleaners best now, you may desire to spot sparkling it by potential of using an all-purpose air purifier and a humid fabric and wiping the grimy aspects persistently to eliminate the airborne dirt and dust. Rinse the fabric in many circumstances for best effects.

Machine wash, gentle cycle, with cold water. Immediately after washing put in dryer, low heat. Remove before completely dry. Hang in well ventilated area until dry.

I think it is OK to dry-clean it. And you should buy more than one down jacket as we will have a long winter. ;-)
