need help getting into a laptop and wiping hard drive?
My friend bought a laptop from a friend and It has a virus I believe. Im not sure how to get into the command prompt from the bios to reformat. I also dont have the OS disc. How can I wipe the drive from my setup i.e. F2 button?

The vast majority of Motherboards don't have a "wipe drive" button. And retail ones certainly dont. If you want to completely wipe the drive clean, with no OS, download a disk eraser
Once installed onto a disc, you can boot from it and it will completely wipe the OS off of there(the virus as well). If you want to do a clean wipe of the computer, but keep the OS, you need to let me know who the laptop manufacturer is, and which operating system it runs, and I can let you know what hotkey to hit to wipe it.
Edit: I see its a dell, but what operating system does it have? XP, Vista, 7?
