How can I make my PC boot from the CD drive?

I recently installed Debian Linux on a notebook PC, but it didn't install correctly. Now I have a boot CD for Ubuntu Linux. However, my PC insists on automatically booting from the hard drive. I've changed the boot options via (F12) and changed the boot order list in Setup (F2), but neither change worked. Any ideas?

It might be having an issue reading the CD. Try a different one.

If it can't read the CD. or if the CD isn't bootable, it'll ignore it and boot from the hard drive.
