what kind of Power steering fluid does a 2000 BMW 323i use?

Dot 3 or Dot 4 ?

Not sure which one.

    Neither!

    Use ATF fluid.

    ATF is the only fluid to be used in the power steering! Synthetic ATF is not required but recommended. Look at the reservoir cap. It tells you what to use.

    I use Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. It's a synthetic Dexron.
