Do I need to wear a mouthguard in basketball practice?

I got braces this summer and I don't know if I only need to wear my mouthguard during basketball games or also during practices.

IF YOU WEAR BRACES I HIGHLY RECCOMEND WEARING A MOUTHGUARD DURING PRACTICE AND GAMES.

It will feel weird a first...but since i am a boxer also i go used to it real quick.
When I was in 6th grade i had braces and i didn't wear a mouthguard, then at practice a kid elbowed my mouth and it f*cked up my wires

Yes! I use my mouthguard in practices and games all the time. It helps you get used to it for game time also!

Dude, If in your basketball practices you scrimmage or have defense players gaurd you then yes.

I didn't when I had braces but I also know someone who cut their lip all up and had to get stitches so you don't have to but it would be safer.
