Will the new congress do what needs to be done?
Over 60% of the people say we must change and will probably vote for the Tea party
group. Will the new congress have the back bone to cut spending across the board? Will the people be willing to accept less from the government? If we are going to be greedy (like France) I think it will be the beginning of the end for this nation.

No, most likely not. Most likely only the House of Representatives will have a Republican majority. It will pass all of its conservative agenda. But the Senate will be almost evenly split even if the Republicans have the majority. Few of the bills that passed the House will also pass the senate and mostly likely none in their original form. If they do get through congress President Obama will most likely veto most of them. There won't be a big enough majority in either house to override a presidential veto.

Yes unless President veto
What is most important: the new congress will have to be accountable for what will be done.
