I'd love it if someone could help me with this?

For the last couple of weeks I've had really bad anxiety at night. I have that worried feeling, but I'm not worried about anything. My life's actually brilliant and I'm a very happy person. I think it might be chemical. I have had mental health problems in the past which the doctor just said were caused by a chemical imblance in my brain. I've had trouble sleeping because of the anxious feeling, and I've also started to sleepwalk and have vivid dreams when I do sleep. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with me? It's not fun. It's the reason I'm on yahoo answers at 1 in the morning lol

Update:

It's been more like over a month than a couple of weeks. I word things badly lol

A great many "mental" disorders are caused by chemical imbalances in the brain. The modern psychiatric meds address that very fact. Clinical depression and anxiety disorders are caused by those imbalances.

Since you had problems in the past, having a recurrence is highly likely. Go to your doctor about it. Many meds today have become generic and shouldn't cost that much to use.

Anxiety doesn't have to have a specific cause if you have depression or Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Two weeks is too short a time, to conclude there's a chemical imbalance.

You can try relaxation exercises, stress relieving activities and self-help books.

If symptoms stay after 6 months, then you may want to see a psychiatrist.
