Help! My icons keep rearranging themselves! What is happening?
I've never seen anything like this. I put them where I want them then when I get back to my computer they aren't where I placed them! Please don't laugh I am serious!

Pam instead of shutting your computer all the way down first arrange your Icons where you want them, the just let your computer go to sleep ( just leave it as is and go to bed yourself lol and when you get up in the morn see if everything is where you put it ( this is what I have had to do with my new computer and it worked for me, good luck.

You may have a malware bug, or a trojan. I had one that did the same, and I didnt know what to do and it started changing my date everytime I logged on, but then I got Avira (the free version) and it fixed it. This may not be the problem, but go ahead and do a virus scan anyway since it won't hurt.. Avira is good if you dont have protection. Malwarbytes is too.

Right click on a blank area of your desktop, choose "Arrange Icons By" and uncheck "Auto Arrange".
