Are all ribbons required to be worn on Army dress uniform?
Regarding the Army: I've read AR 670-1 several times and I cannot find an answer. Are enlisted members required to wear all ribbons that they were awarded when in the class B or class A uniform? They can get beat up fairly quick, and they're not cheap.
When I started out in the Navy it was common to see Chiefs wearing only their three highest awards when in khaki for this reason.

AR 670-1 does not cover this issue. It is the commanders discretion to allow his soldiers to not wear medals or ribbons awarded. That being said in the 8 yrs I spent in the Army the only time I ever wore more then one row of ribbons was at the balls I went to and then and only then did I ever break out my dress blue uniform. On the Class B most likely you will never have reason to wear any ribbons leave it to ABN wings and other badges but ribbons I wouldn't get caught dead wearing ribbons in class b uniform.

From what I know you do not have to wear all your ribbons on your uniform. You may choose to wear all of them or only your three highest ribbons.
