The Tea Party will actually cost the Republicans seats. Here's how: the more radical right wing you are, the further from the center which is where most of the population is. Anti-gay and anti-abortion policies play really well in rural ridings, but will lead to losses in big urban areas.

More centrist Republican candidates would likely have won more seats than Tea Party Republicans this election.

People should read that article that Johann Harri wrote entitled: The Tea Party's Wildest Dreams Come True. It seems that the tea party is leading in England and things are not going well, we are next if they win.

If anything, the Baggers are giving seats to the Dems by propping up loony candidates instead of the ones the GOP had backed.
