Most use one they like to wear. However, if you want a pilots watch (not required), it has to be BIG and have lots of buttons!
Breitling http://www.breitling.com/en/index.html, chase-durer http://www.chase-durer.com/ , Rolex, TAG HEUER, Seiko all have some nice watches for pilots.
The norm, TIMEX, that way you don't mind if you loose it.

It's all personal preference. They use whatever watch fits their style. I've always preferred Skagen watches because they are so light and thin, but they are not 'aviation' watches per se.
There are aviation watches out there but the extra features they have are pretty much useless. Nobody uses those mini-flight computers that they have on them (we use our brains, calculators and real flight computers).
All a pilot needs is a watch that accurately tells the time.

CTC trains you to fATPL point. in case you haven't any longer started your education as a cadet of an airline partnered with CTC, you will have no assure of a placement after graduating. the only thank you to be certain (very just about) a job is to word for an airline cadetship listed on CTC internet site.

Any watch that will keep the time.
Sweep second hands are nice, but not necessary. There has to be a panel mounted clock if you're going to go IFR anyway, so it really isn't necessary to wear a watch.

I have a Citizen eco drive and a rolex.
The Citizen is actually a better watch than the rolly.

Citizen Eco Drive. Keeps great time and is relatively inexpensive. Timex if you want something really cheap, keeps good time and if you lose it, no big deal.
