i need a war poem which is about losing a loved one, preferably involving rhyming couplets :)

Possibly the greatest war poem ever written is Keith Douglas' Vergissmeinnicht ('Forget Me Not').
It isn't directly about losing a loved one, but someone in the poem has lost a loved one.

My boy Jack is Kipling's poem about the loss of his son. The Telegram is about getting the news and Hardy's A Wife in London refers to the Boer War. I was surprised that it was hard to find poems about losing a loved one in war - most of the famous ones are about the waste of life in general, like Owen's Anthem for Doomed Youth. That ends in a rhyming couplet. Hope your search is more successful than mine!
