    okay first things first, when you want to buy a fast laptop you need to consider two major things:

    1: the processor speed

    2: the size of the ram ( This is a computer component that is used to store temporary data while you work).

    .

    look for a Dell with the recent intel core i3 or core i5 or core i7 brand of processors. this of course is determined by your budget.

    if you do not have a large budget but still want your laptop to run at a good speed then go for core 2 duo processors. they are also pretty fast. they are also from intel.

    some people might ask you to buy a laptop with an amd processor. i strongly disagree with these. AMds have several performance issues and produce too much heat which causes a low battery life.

    Also go for a laptop that has a minimum of 2GB (ddr2 or ddr3) of Ram. you will need this when watching your videos expecially top quality dvds and blue ray movies.

    Something to boost your total digital experience is buying a latop with a dedicated graphics card. major vendors are Nvidia and ATI. a graphics card with at least 128mb of memory is good to watch dvd movies and higher memory means the computer will now be able to play most movies easily and also play high end games if you like to play computer games.

    make sure the laptop has;

    1: HDMI port (to connect your laptop to your plasma or lcd tv)

    2: a good screen resolution 1280 by 800 is okay.

    You can see this product http://amzn.to/afMYtc

    i hope this helps you.

    Macs are good computers but are ridiculously over priced and take too much control over what you do. I recommend a toshiba. I have one and it's the most reliable. But no one can help you more than your worker at a tech store (future shop, best buy, staples

    I have a HP Pavilion dv6 and I love it

    That didn't really help you in any way lol, all I can suggest is get one with an i7 processor and a lot of RAM and it'll run well

    I recommend a Toshiba, they outlast the competition (according to PC WORLD). get one with at least a Dual Core Processor running at a minimum 2.0 GHz frequency, at LEAST 4 Gigs of RAM and windows 7 64bit and at least 280gig hard drive since your into vids.
