increase in percent and show equation?

the increase from 10 to 22 is 120% right? how do i show this increase in equation form?

i have y=1.2x+10 becasue 10 is the number we started with.

    Increase = 22 -10 = 12

    percentage increase = 12/10 times 100 = 120%

    percentage increase = increase/original amount x 100

    Increase = (22-10)

    Percentage increase = (22-10)/10 * 100 %

    ...............................= (12) * 10 %

    ...............................= 120 %

    Generally:

    Percentage Increase

    = 100 * (Ending Amount - Initial Amount) / Initial Amount

    or

    = 100 * (Ending Amount / Initial Amount) - 100

    or

    ... Percentage Increase + 100 = 100 * (Ending Amount / Initial Amount)

    or Ending Amount = Initial Amount (Percentage Increase + 100) / 100
