Bracing an aquarium on a stand.?
I have an already set-up aquarium (50 gal.), on a table stand, with drawers in it. I need to brace it against the wall now, as my pups are starting to jump against it to see the fish. Will the glass break by bracing it to the wall with a power screwdriver? From vibrations, I mean. Only knowledgeable, serious answers, please.
I don't want to secure the glass tank into the wall. Just the stand. I didn't know if the vibration from a power screwdriver on the stand would crack the aquarium on top of the stand.

As long as your tank is level, you should be fine, vibration should be minimal. If you're still worried, do it bit by bit, pausing to allow vibration to stop. You can watch the top of the water to give you an idea how much vibration is being transferred to the tank, but it really should be minimal.
If your level is a bit off, do a 50% water change and screw it into the wall while the water level is down, it will reduce the pressure on the seams considerably.

Cutting aquarium glass is pretty tricky. It needs special diamond blade, lots of lubricant. You want to screw through the glass into the wall? I would rather anchor the stand into the wall. If you really need to secure the tank, try to use the frame instead. Drilling your tank will end in a mess!
