Does important football games come on basic channels?
I am downgrading my cable and want to know if the Superbowl and important football games (college mostly) comes on basic channels? I don't want to switch to basic and my husband not be able to see any games. Thanks!

Just do it... If he needs to know what's going on with football he has the internet.

Well other then Monday Night Football almost all NFL games are on local stations(there is Thursday night games starting on NFL Network but you may not get that on your cable anyway). As to College the biggest games are on local TV usually, and the BCS Bowl games, including the BCS Title game(the National Championship) are on local stations.

FOX, CBS, NBC, and ABC are all basic so you'll definitely get the NFL on Sundays. I am not sure, however, if ESPN is a basic channel. Check with your cable provider and get a full channel list.
