Put motorcycle on apartment balcony?
My dum-bass apartment wants to charge $60 to park a motorcycle in their empty garage, so wondering if its a good idea to put the bike inside my unit on the balcony. The apartment has an elevator, and I hardly see any people, would it be okay for me to just do this or do I have to ask them first or something. As far and I know, the lease stated nothing against it.

There is so many things wrong with this, I don't know where to start. How about weight restrictions on the balcony, moving a motorized vehicle in a residential elevator, not parking in an authorized area. Just to name a few. You moved into an apartment complex that has rules, if you don't want to follow them, then find another place to live. Hey, that's life.

Are you planning to ride every day? It's going to be a major hassle getting your cycle in and out, plus with what everybody else said about maneuvering it in and out. The more you do move it, someone or the management is bound to see you or report you. Frankly, I'd be uncomfortable with someone moving their motorcycle into their apartment.
What about fluids leaking or gas fumes, and so forth? I'm with the other person who responded. I'd pay the $60 bucks a month just for the convenience of putting the bike in a much more accessible place than having it on the balcony. If you're in a hurry, it's going to take you that much longer to get your bike out to the street.

You need to consider the weight limitations on the elevator, as well as the balcony. And, I wouldnt be surprised if they still wouldnt let you do this.
$60 a month is worth it. I pay $75 a month, and thats just to park at work!

The trickiest part would likely be manoeuvring the bike through the door and out on balcony. Most balconies I've ever been on are quite narrow.
The other downside to that is that the bike would be exposed to the elements all winter long (unless you have a fully enclosed balcony).
