Taking Drugs first weeks of Pregnancy?
My sister is pregnant she just found out today and she thinks she maybe pregnant for a few weeks now and before she knew she would snort perk and oxycotins like almost everyday and then she would do a subboxen to get off...and she also stopped smoking today when she found out and she smokes about a pack of cigarettes a day. Shes really worried the baby might come out retarded or unhealthy but she hasnt done no drugs in a few days and just quit smoking today and vows to stay off for the babys sake...I'm wondering if its a little too late or what could happen since she did that early in the pregnancy. Tomorrow shes going to see how far along she is.

If she took drugs at the beginning if the pregnancy it could have affected the foetal development and can cause deformities. Cigarette smoking doesn't do much harm, i smoked all the way through my pregnancy and baby was ok. The Oxycontin's should not cause birth defects but can can make the baby suffer bad withdrawal symptom, the subboxen can cause miscarriage.

the best thing is to go to the doctor and they can actually take test and see how the baby is hopefully her baby is healthy and they are both going to be okay
