Dream Interpretation.. and same dream as someone else?
My grandfather recently passed away... a little more than 2 months ago... Well 2 nights ago, I had my first dream with him in it. It was me, my mother, and my pappy, at his old house. We were in the living room, and there was a box of pills sitting on the coffee table. My pappy told me he didn't need those pills any more, that he only needed 1 pill. I was digging through the box trying to find the pills that he was looking for and I pulled out a key.. it was a really pretty key and the top was in the shape of a heart, and it was outlined in green(pappy's favorite color) gems. I automatically started smiling.. and said we haven't had to use this key in such a long time..
BACK TO REAL LIFE....
I picked my mother up yesterday from the hospital, I started telling her about my dream. I was saying that I dreamed of pappy last night, and he told me that he didn't need his pills anymore.. and she said that is really weird, and I was like why? And she replied I had a dream about him this past week too, and he told me that he was down to one pill.. I never told her about him saying that in my dream, so I know she was not making it up. What do yous think it means.. and can anyone tell me what my dream might symbolize.. Thanks

I think that "down to the last pill" is a metaphor for being ready to die. It seems to me that your grandfather was ready to die. You weren't ready for him to die, so you didn't find the pill. Instead, you wanted to let him know how much you loved him and wanted him to live, so you pulled out the key.

i am extremely sorry for your loss, loosing a family member is a rough thing to go through. i beleive your dream is your subconcience saying there was somthing more that could have been done to save your grandfather. a pill, i new health plan, but in all reality, your concience is telling you the key is that it was his time to go. no pill could have saved him, it was simply time. i think deep down inside, you feel like there is something more that could have been done. i think the key is symbolism of him loving you, and not to feel grief of him dying. i'm usually really good on dream interpretations but this one was a tuffy, if i knew all what was wrong with your grandfather and his habits i may be able to give a better interpretation, but based on what you have there, is what i came up with. i'm sorry about your loss. in conclusion, i feel that your sub-conscience is thinking that there was more to do for him, another type of pill, or less, maybe you feel that pills hurt him more. but you feel that something could have been done or fixed to save him, but the key is, that it was just his time to go. hope this helps hun.
