Does anyone know the meaning behind the name Kevin?

Hello, I got an assignment where I learn as much as possible about my name(Kevin) and try to find its origin. I'm wondering if any of you know some interesting stories or noticeable people behind the name itself. I would really appreciate all help. Thanks!

    Anglicized form of the Irish name Caoimhín, derived from the older Irish Cóemgein, composed of the Old Irish elements cóem "kind, gentle, handsome" and gein "birth". Saint Caoimhín established a monastery in Glendalough, Ireland in the 6th century and is the patron saint of Dublin. It became popular in the English-speaking world outside of Ireland in the 20th century.

    I love the name Kevin! I don't see how people could say Zandyn is better than Kevin, Kevin is a classic while Zandyn is well yucky and sounds made up. Kevin is so not old sounding, I don't get that vibe at all. I think Kevin is handsome and very cute. But anywho anybody who disses the name Kevin has no taste and must be into the -ayden style and using masculine names on girls. I know a guy named Kevin and he loves his name and when people say something about his name he will start his ten reasons why his name is awesome haha =)
