Vancouver BC area cottage?
We are interested in renting a cottage max 2 hours drive from Vancouver. We will stay the first 2 weeks of Jan. 2011. It can also be in Washington. Can anyone give us some link tips. We do not want to ski. Thank you.

The Sunshine Coast (Gibsons/Sechelt) is an hour north of Vancouver, including a 40-minute ferry ride. It's a great vacation area. Just search on "vacation rentals sunshine coast bc". Herer are a couple to check out:

This looks pretty cool: http://www.riverruncottages.com/ There might not be many cottages within 2 hours drive of Vancouver. With real estate prices being what they are, most people can't afford true cottages near Vancouver, and people tend to go further away on holiday for a few reasons. On the US side, you might want to check Point Roberts and Birch Bay.
