( log base 4 of 6) + (log base 4 of 2) - (log base 4 of 3)?

how do you evaluate this problem? i need step by step help, thanks so much.

    log(a) + log(b) = log(ab) ( this is valid of logarithm of any base)

    log(a) - log(b) = log(a/b) ( " )

    so applying the above identities,

    you'll get log base 4 of 4 and that equals 1

    .. log4(6) + log4(2) - log4(3)

    = log4( 6 * 2 / 3 )

    = log4(4)

    = 1
