I have walnut woodwork and doors throughout my house. But want to change to white.?
Changing the bedroom and closet doors is not a problem but I have a beautiful Walnut front door and french doors into the sun room. I am trying to figure out where to stop and start the white. Because I want to leave these particular doors dark.
Suggestions?????

I've thought about doing the same thing many times. The dark stained look is so out-dated to me and the white is modern and fresh. I have sat and stared at my dark trim and doors before, trying to decide if it would be worth it to paint it all white (a ton of work) or not.
My final conclusion was that if I ever did it, I would just pay to have all the molding replaced with white. Painting it all would be a monumental task and probably would not look that good.
New trim, new doors, etc. All white.

I even have 2. front door and back door. I reworked my dwelling house 2 years in the past and by no skill placed "any" interior doors. Lol! To be honest with you , i easily do no longer pass over them. doors are over-rated!!!

Traditionally it is just the door leaves which are show wood - the trims and baseboards are white (or off white).

For me personally, I would keep them the way they are. They are part of the charm and personality of the house.
