What do you think of the Female Artist of the Day [50]?

they're certainly a decent band, but undeserving of the over the top acclaim, i feel.

when i saw them play last year, i was desperate for them just to open up a bit.

i think these girls stomp all over the xx -

hi, it is the girl who has that video of the finished area bare men...and there that is, "The Flood", lol, I think approximately this... I wasn't so particular i could like this because of the undeniable fact which you stated she's blues and jazz besides the undeniable fact that that first track is an impressive opener, and that i particularly enjoyed "midway Up The Hindukusch" that one is going to be caught in my head!! I favorite the terrific 2 :)

Crystalised - with regard to this song I really didn't feel anything it just didn't do anything for me..

Infinity - I liked this song.. this is where the band sounds kind of umm... "dreamy" something about this song reminded me of Chris Isaak.. I think it was the clear channel guitar with the heavy reverb. which I really like the sound of. it just brought back that Isaak song "Wicked Game" this is a good song.

Shelter - good song its similar to infinity. at this point the band really sounds like shoegaze or dream popish. which is a genre I like.

the female vocalist in this band doesn't have any significant technique to her vocals but her contributions fit this band. sounding kind of melancholy and dreamy. she fills in really nice.

so overall really good find on this one. I am not sure I would go back and listen to them maybe, maybe not. but for now those 2 songs did something for sure. I really enjoyed them. thanks again for posting Vicky. Later :D
