What is the best floor nailer to use?
I'm about to install hardwood floors in my house and I'm looking at different floor nailers. If I can get away from the big $400 air-powered cleat style, i'd prefer it. I found a manual cleat nailer that was inexpensive, but was told that would be too much headache than would be worth it. I also was wondering about standard air-powered finish nailers and how they work with T&G flooring. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Its simple , use the manual one with a Rubber Mallet . Make sure you knock the flooring together well befaore nailing and put the ends at least 8 inches apart from row to row .
Finish Nailers are for Surface Nailing like on the very last run of flooring near the wall . If installed right and Nailed near the wall on last run the Baseboard and Quarter round should hide all nails !
Good luck .

The Bostich nailer works great. Many times I see people who buy them to use and then resell on Craigslist for $100 less then they paid. You could also rent one.
