Can I use edible in with an hp printer?
I read somewhere that because hp printer cartridges have a sponge inside them, it's very difficult to get all of the toxic ink out before filling them with edible ink. Is this so? Is there a way to work around this issue?
If other printer cartridges don't have a sponge, what keeps the ink in?
With ANY cartridge, how do I get the toxic ink out before I fill it with edible ink?
the ehow link is dead...
I was at the ehow link before i posted the question.

Printers that use edible ink to print on cakes are not the same thing as a regular desk top printer. It is a separate, different type of machine completely, and dedicated to printing with edible ink ONLY. The cartridges are not interchangeable and you can not use a regular ink cartridge to replace it with edible ink. There are strict laws regarding food contamination and if you try to do something like this, you could end up in jail and paying someone damages for the rest of your life.
