The cable man hooked up cable to one of my TV's, a small one and all it shows is the blue screen. Whats wrong?
We turned to channel 3 and channel 4 and other channels, but nothing shows up? I can't afford to get a new tv right now. What should I try? The cable man gave up and left it to me.

If channel 3/4 doesn't work your hooked up component or HDMI. Try changing the input.

The cable man was not doing his job
He should have stayed until the hook up was completed or found the source of the problem. Then reported it to his company and given you the info and a call # (if applicable) to assist in your problem. While the problem could possible be with your TV
It could also be in your home wiring or satellite connections or any number of things
Call customer service and insist on a re-visit at no charge, to pinpoint the exact problem with the system. That's why you pay them so much plus misc fees
make them earn it
Good Luck

It's hard to say what your problem is without a physical inspection of your hookup. If it's possible to hook up another TV to the cable you can pinpoint the trouble to the cable or TV. The cable man should have been able to tell you if your TV is defective. They usually have some working knowledge of the installation.
