Is there any purpose for giving mutts and curs so called designer names?

I am offended by people making up names for these poor refugees from the pound. Worse people are expected to identify what ever they are.

    I assume you are referring to the maltepoos, labradoodles, cockapoos, etc. My guess is, the primary reason is money. Greedy, ignorant back-yard breeders who breed and sell mutts at higher prices by giving them fancy labels. Just another way to exploit animals for profit.
