In the US you can take a real firearm with you in checked luggage on most airlines, if it is in a lockable case, so I am sure they would allow BB guns also. Just tell the baggage people when you check in your luggage.
With real firearms they make you put a red tag on your gun case stating it is a firearm, but I always figure that was a good way to get your firearm stolen, so some airlines will allow you to put the tag on the inside of the case as long as it is attached to the outside of the case.

No, no longer in australia. I went on a visit to Cambodia and offered a bb air gun. the protection there took it off me and reported i choose a firearms license and that i must p.c.. it up interior of ninety days. After ninety days they damage it at their warehouse.

Depends on the countries customs laws, and if they have the orange strip around the nozzle.

No way.... Airport security can't risk having anyone using them in making threat some thousand feet above ground later.
