Driving a Gas Scooter in Florida?

Im looking for a gas scooter maybe around 150cc.

I only have a permit and will probably need to get a motorcycle license to drive.

What are some good Scooter Stores in Florida that sell mopeds/scotters?

I really love this scooter at the bottom link . Is there a way you can find out what brand/type it is?

Thank You So Much!

that is a Vespa 250 / 300. it has a custom paint job, as i don't believe it comes in pink except for an exclusive, very limited edition "breast cancer" scooter used for charity and to raise awareness for breast cancer. its 250cc, and as you can tell from this pic, a fairly good sized scooter

this scooter starts at $6,000 and goes up from there. fuel injected models cost several hundred dollars more, and the 250cc may be unavailable in the US atm, as only 300cc models are listed on their website. don't expect discounts on a Vespa, and don't be taken in by cheap, generic, chinese scooter knock offs. pink or not lol. if you don't mind a 150cc, here it is

smaller, and $4500. or $5200 for the fuel injected model. pricey for a 150cc classic style scooter. less expensive alternatives:

Kymco Like 200i. $3400 and can be had on discount. heck, with the money saved you can paint it pink!

Genuine Buddy 125 and 150cc models. near or around $3000 regular price, and Genuine also has discounts atm. very popular scooter

i used teh sexy pic lol

even lower cost alternatives, the SYM Fiddle 125cc and Lance Cali Classic. both of these would be "last choice," but you could get one or the other for not much more then $2,000. this makes them good values

you can also look at a Yamaha Vino, which also has the classic Vespa style. also if you often travel roads that are posted for 50mph+ speeds, i would recommend a 150cc. a 125cc can get to 55mph and approach 60mph, but then it runs out of room. a good 150cc should get you past 60mph, easily. say 65mph. this makes cruising at 55mph and maintaining that speed on a faster road that much easier

so far as dealers, just google for some in your area and pick a reputable one. and remember, never pay outrageous dealer fees. although you will have to pay full freight for a Vespa. its a buyers market, so pay no more then MSRP+TAX+DMV+DOC. make a low(er) offer and see what happens. you'd be surprised at the deal you can get if you're ready to buy and have cash or financing in hand :)

this is a conflict knowmatter what state you are in. but most do not recognize anything under 50cc as an motorized vehicle. thus eliminating operating a motor vehicle tickets. however even with a license most scooters and snowmobiles are not allowed on public streets because they are not licensed vehicles. trust me know the laws, two years ago i got dui on my 360 fourwheeler, after i had a wreck on my own farm. private property only exists in texas anymore, and since it was over 50cc its considered a motor vehicle.

The shown scooter is a Genuine Vespa, made by Piaggio in Italy. Expensive, MSRP $4500, but worth it. http://www.vespausa.com/
