Can Beauty defeat Philosophy?
By this I mean, basically, could the beauty of someone or something overcome philosophical thought. For instance could you give up your entire point of view on life, such as what life means to you, for something as simple and complex as a woman which you define as beautiful. That of course is an example but my question is somewhat meant for the generic answer.

Beauty cannot be contemplated without philosophy. In fact there is a whole branch of philosophy that deals with beauty, called "aesthetics."
But for people who don't contemplate anything and just run around after their *****, "beauty" doesn't really have much to "defeat" in the first place, does it?

So, what you are asking, in such a convoluted and vague way, is; am I willing to 'sell my soul' for ( * ) ( * ) ...or ( ) ) ...or whatever?
Philosophy is 'critical thought'. The most 'fruitful' of thought. It is the cutting edge of our understanding of 'existence/Reality', what 'is'! Can we turn our back on who we are? Can we? Lobotomy? Schizophrenia? Insanity?
Philosophical thought encompasses all! Everything falls in it's embrace!
Your question makes no sense!
Wait a min... are you asking that if one's intellect says not to mess with the woman, should we ignore it for some cheap thrills? People do it all the time! So, in that sense, 'beauty' would "defeat" 'critical thought'.
One has no options (vanity) but to be the Perspective that one is, at the moment.
Every moment/percept of existence is unique!

Philosophy is worldly and limited. Beauty is not.
