How Do I Find My Horse *urgent*?
Ok, so sold my horse back in April
worst.decision.ever.
I want him back!! I know that the guy I sold him to, sold him, then he was sold to slaughter in some other country. Then he was rescued from the kill pen. I was told this by his new owner, several months ago. I was too damn stupid to write down the number. I have no clue where he is now.
Luckily, he's a purebred. REGISTERED american quarter horse.
But. How do I find him?
Here's his information (that I remember)
Name - Charming ID Rascal "Rascal"
Dam - Poco Cabin
Sire - Charming Two ID
Age - 7 (as of August, 2010)
Color - Bay
Markings - None
Gender - Gelding
Additional Information - Playful and sweet, but a bit wild (as of spring, 2010) large head, and nippy. But so sweet. LOVES food, and may be 1/2 stallion 1/2 gelding, might not have been cut right. (unsure)
PLEASE!!! HELP!!! if you have ANY information on him, leave it as an answer!!! Or if you have any information on how to find him, answer below PLEASE I NEED TO ATLEAST SEE HIM!!! <3
Ok. I don't want him back. Ok?! I want to see him. I want to find him. That's all. I KNOW I decided he wasn't mine anymore when I sold him but it was a stupid decision!!!

Move on. The horse has a new owner. Don't go pestering them about property you no longer have any legal interest in. The odds of his registration papers being transferred to a new buyer when he was sold for slaughter in another country is pretty close to ZERO, especially considering the number of times the horse has changed hands in the last 6 months.

If you check with the rescues from the areas where his "new" owner may have got him from, someone might recognize him. Other than that, his registered info through the AQHA might have new ownership transfer, provided his papers went with him. Does he have any brands that you know of? You can also check the kill pens for record of him. Best of luck!
If you didn't post this, try leaving a msg on the "info" part of the horses pedigree. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/charming+id+rascal Go into maintenance tab, slide down to "edit info" and post it where it says Extra optional info.

Do you have photos on your advert's and are they stable high quality photos? i became basically chatting with some one the different day approximately this. except thehorse sounds acceptable for what i choose for i wont email some one which hasnt published photos fo the horse. additionally i'm getting relatively aggravated whilst people positioned photos up and the horse is basically a small dot in this massive pasture, or there's a photograph fo a set of horses and that they inform you its the bay one yet 0.5 teh horses interior the photograph are bays. Or they only positioned up relatively crappy high quality photos. - Get stable affirmation photos of the two part, even have reachable a front and returned shot. - verify your horse is the only horse interior the photograph and you will for sure see it. - incorporate one or 2 photos of you driving him on trails in any case that's basically something to bear in strategies if i see those varieties of photos i end looking. Becuase i will garentee virtually each and every physique will look on the horse earlier examining the define. EDIT: Freedom makes a excelent element notwithstanding if verify the barn will assist you place up a advert at their barn first. i be attentive to many barns that wont enable random exterior people to try this.

I would see if you can get any information using his registration information - maybe, after a little research, it could lead you to where he is now. You can also post ads on lost horse or horse sale websites, and maybe his owner (or someone who knows him) will make the connection. Also, see if the guy you originally sold him to has any details on where he is now.

I'd move on and let him be, he's not your horse anymore, you decided that when you sold him. Even if you find him the owner probably won't sell him back. Sorry to sound harsh but that's the reality, if my horses old owners came looking for them back I'd tell them where to go.

go to the aqha and hit buy records. I didn't look very far into their website but if he was registered like you say it may be there. if he was sold outside the country to a slaughter house though, it will probably be impossible to find him. im really sorry :(

I would just be thankful that he was rescued from slaughter (which he was sent to by the person YOU sold him to) and, as the first poster said, leave well enough alone.
If the new owner wanted to sell him she would have offered him back to you when she traced you back as the original owner.

Call the AQHA and see if you can get his information on his papers if they were lost. I have not heard of him but you can put on lost horse adds and stuff like that on sites like Equine.com and Horseclicks.com. What if the owner he is with currently is happy with him and loves him? If you find him, it doesn't mean they'll sell him back.
