Skiing Mont Tremblant, how is it?

Going to Mont Tremblant for the first time this February, need to know what to expect in terms of crowds, typical snow conditions, usual temperatures, etc. Although I'm fully aware that I'm not an expert skier, my skiing level allows me to handle what American ski resorts consider to be "expert" runs. I enjoy skiing fast and challenging myself with steeper runs. Does it offer trails that can accommodate this? Also how long is the run from the highest lift-serviced trail to the bottom of the mountain?

Thanks

*Not much into terrain parks but if they have one that'd be a plus

Tremblant in February is going to be really cold. Some of the lifts do, however, have the pull down covers and there is one gondola serving the mountain. A second gondola transports day skiers from the day lodge to the base/pedestrian village.

As for the mountain itself, there is a north side and a south side. The south side is the village side and is the "easier" side. The north side has more advanced terrain.

As for the base area, it is very European in nature. Actually, a pedestrian village with many little shops, bistros and bars. The base lodge for day skiers is located a bit "off site" and there is a lift that transports day skiers from the day lodge to the pedestrian village. The restaurants and bars are very nice as are the accommodations.

Its as close as you're going to get to skiing in Europe without flying overseas. I highly recommend it.

To directly answer your questions...yes you can challenge yourself with steeper runs and the longest trail is Nansen at 6km or 3.75mi.

I went once in April about 9 years ago and i was only 10. I remember having an awesome time, but for me it was 80 degrees bright and sunny, which you wont get. there was practically no crowd. the village was amazing. i remember some really good trails (and yes i could ski American "expert" runs back then too), but with the weather that year not a lot was open. i hope i get to go back some time and see what its like normally. i hear its amazing, but i dont get really get to go anywhere than my home mountain and my job as a ski instructor. hope you have a great time

At Mont Tremblant, those who live for the great outdoors and love to breathe clean air have the perfect playground. A paradise where ski and snowboard enthusiasts are both spoiled silly: 18 acres of ramps, rails and jumps as well as an Olympic calibre superpipe. Taste the freedom, dare the mountain, live Tremblant to the fullest!
