What is Carrier synchronization,Frame synchronization and Symbol synchronization ?

Please give me the explanation for all these three synchronization types in simple words......I need to understand these three techniques....I am studying these techniques in spectral analysis of line codes....but I am unable to understand them from the book which I have.....
