...HAVE to be a university student? I am doing my GCSE's, and I'm wondering if the discount could apply to me, as I have been told it is only available for university students. Thanks!

As you would need to prove what University you are going to in order to receive the discount... yes, you have to be a University Student to get the University Student discount on Apple products. If you are not attending a University, then the University Student discount would not apply to you.
Otherwise, everyone would claim some sort of Self-education as a reason for getting a discount on Apple Products.
