Why are there so many French loanwords in Turkish?
2 AnswersLanguages6 years agoDo YOU need an urgent prayer answered fast...?
I have been working with a Saint called "Saint Expedite", who is an unofficial -- but very popular in South American countries and Southern USA! -- patron saint of all those who need quick solutions to their problems.
As he is a Saint, he is logically only associated with Catholics, but he is open to requests from ALL people. All you have to do is, ideally, set up a basic altar with a picture of him (found online easily!) and have at least one or more red candles lit up by that picture. His favourite offering is pound cake, and his favourite colour is red, so make as much red as possible for his altar!
Anyway, you should write down what problem/issue you want solved ASAP, and keep it on the altar. It could be anything from speeding up a divorce proceeding to getting a spare amount of cash by the end of the week to finding a new job! The possibilities are endless.
I don't want to ramble too much, but I assure you that you can find heaps of testimonials, information and guidance on the Saint himself (e.g. history and qualities) and how to pray to him (e.g. altar set up). The reason I am writing this is because I prayed to him on my Mother's behalf because she was having a rather pressing legal issue she wanted dealt with ASAP, and it worked! It wasn't super fast, granted, but with all this modern bureaucracy and such, it was pretty darn snappy without any real problems!
I just wanted to share this with you, and I hope you will at least research further and give it a try -- as long as you have the sincere faith and work WITH him (i.e. don't expect your wish to be pure magically granted as you sit on your couch!), then I am positive you will get results.
This Saint is popular with Catholics and other Christians, but also is quite notorious in Pagan circles too. Like I said, e is open to help anyone, as long as you make the effort!
Thank you very much! I hope I successfully spread his name! I must admit, spreading his name after the wish is granted is actually pretty much required as a sense of respect and gratitude to Saint Expedite, but I also hope to help others at the same time!
Peace to you all! :)
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoCan you make parathas with plain flour?
All the recipes I've ever seen online ask for either just whole wheat flour or a mixture of that and plain flour (50/50) ... but can I just use plain flour? Will there be any real difference? Thanks!
3 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoIf someone gave someone else just a bank account number to send money to, can they hack the account?
If someone from the USA wanted to send money to someone in the UK, can they hack their account just knowing the bank account number? Is that the only thing that needs to be known for a transfer, or any other details?
Also, in case you know, what is the best way for the above (a money transfer from account in USA to one in the UK) to happen safely and easily? Does the currency change automatically too? Thanks.
3 AnswersPersonal Finance9 years agoAbout the BNP's Immigration policy?
I have two questions about their immigration policy.
They say that they would find and deport criminals and illegals of foreign nationality, but would give money to legal immigrants who would voluntarily leave to their home country.
However, does anyone know:
How much they would actually give per legal immigrant?
And, if a legal immigrant *refuses* this offer, are they forcefully deported or allowed to stay?
Thanks for answering! And please no answers that are anti-BNP, I am not here to listen to hate messages, I want to learn more about the British parties and what they are for.

3 AnswersImmigration9 years agoWhat song is this (from a Tomb Raider website)?
This song, a long time ago, I remember, was on the "fun Stop for Tomb Raider" website, but now I think they've gotten rid of their playlist of songs, and there is a certain song I wanna know the name of so I can listen to it again.
All I remember was that the song was calming and gentle, and the chorus was:
Come alive (makes me wanna cry) x3
Don't you forget now
Does anyone know what song it is? Or even better, where the playlist of songs they used to have on the site could still be? Thanks!
3 AnswersLyrics9 years agoMy smoke alarm keeps beeping on its own!?
I have no idea what model it is or how it works, except that when you take the lid off there's a long thin piece of metal that, when pushed onto a metal box, triggers the full alarm -- it beeps in sets of 3 and they last for as long as the metal stick is touching the box.
I've also noticed some text on the lid that says "push centre to test and silence alarm", which I can obviously work out pushes that rod into place.
The annoying beep is one beep every 20 seconds. Desperate to silence it cos it woke me up at 2 am, I push the rod onto the box and let the real alarm blare for one 'set'. Still beeps after 20 seconds. Try it for two sets and it goes away and it starts again! I try it for three and it went away... Until 2 days later. Now as I'm typing this, I'm listening to it beep my mind out and I can't do the blare thing cos I got parents sleeping.
I would find the instructions but this house has been rented to many before me and it is lost. Cannot replace battery cos the label inside says I can't (damn right I can't). Help! How can I deal with this without smashing it with a hammer? Thanks!
20 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs10 years agoIs the Alienware m14x (£999) good OUTSIDE of gaming?
I have read several reviews on this laptop, but it always focuses on the eccentric design and bad-*** performance in gaming, and the best I can get about the m14x is that it's "also powerful/fast in Windows applications". Although I have a few games of my own (most of them are old though, 2000-2004), I still want more details.
I spend most of my time watching videos online (TV shows and YouTube) and reading webpages, so I'm interested in how well does the Alienware m14x performs in tasks like downloading files, video streaming, web surfing and video chats (Skype, MSN)?
I'd definitely appreciate the opinions of the owners of this laptop
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks10 years agoI'm 16, and I ordered stuff from Amazon UK...?
And I used my own account. Is it okay that I'm 16 and made my own account? I used giftcards to buy my stuff (games and earphones) not credit card. Does my mum or dad have to do anything?
1 AnswerOther - Internet10 years agoRunescape on a MacBook Air (Mid-2011)?
I was just wondering, does anyone have the newest MacBook Air (preferably the Core i5 one, but I don't mind which one you have) and play Runescape on it?
If so, how is it? does it lag? are the graphics good? can you install Java on it without problems?
Thanks!
2 AnswersOther - Games & Recreation10 years agoWhen doing flambé, do you HAVE to heat the liquor before putting it into the pan?
Can't you just chuck your shot of room-temperature spirit into the pan and just flambé? Won't the high heat of the pan already be enough to warm it? If I'm getting it wrong, please explain! Thanks!

6 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoHas anyone here used the "Almena Method"?
The Almena Method is a program that claims it can teach you all 26 keys on the keyboard in an hour as well as teach you to touch type up to 80 wpm in just 2 weeks. I was wondering if anyone has used it and how good was it? Did it really teach you to touch type so quickly? Thanks!
3 AnswersTechnology1 decade agoSo, the MacBook Air or Pro 13"?
I'm a GCSE student and I'm also interested in getting myself my first Macbook. I am interested in getting an Air because I know I won't be doing anything CPU-intensive -- perhaps the best thing I can think of is YouTube videos! I've seen many reviews of the 13" Air (2010 of course) and seeing as it is actually faster than the 13" Pro in booting up programs in general and web browsing, and because the primary thing I am using it for is Web Surfing -- along with typing documents for school, listening to some music and playing the occasional video game.
Also, the 13" 128GB Air is cheaper than the cheapest MBP, that and all other things considered, would the MacBook Air suit my needs well? Thanks for your help!

1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoIs it true that MacBook Pros are so well built they will feel like they're new after years of use?
I've heard a few times by different people and from different places that even after years of using a MacBook Pro, it'll still feel like it's just out of the box. Like, the keys never feel weary, the screen hinge never weakens, that sort of thing.
Is it true for you MacBook users? Thanks!
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoHindi phrase, translate to English please?
The other day, heard a phrase something like:
"Kai Saan".
I heard it in the PC game "Age of Empires III: Asian Dynasties", if that helps.
The closest translation I found is "How are you?" which is "Aap kasi hai", but does anyone know what the other phrase means? Thanks!
2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoCan you buy a MacBook Pro using student discount when....?
..you are physically at a store? Instead of having to order online, because I don't have a credit card. For example, I could just hand my MacBook Pro over the counter, show my passport to the cashier to prove I am a student and they give me a discount and hand me the computer with the receipt, and finished? Or if it works differently, please explain how :) Thanks!
