Anybody working in Conway's Game of Life?

I'm interested in finding a discussion group on Game of Life or other automatons. I wrote a B3/S23 level GOL in an antiquated verions of QBASIC that i had lying around. Fun but limited by small matrix. Need to operate on the pixel level. Also need suggestions on stitching borders. Thanx.

Update:

I know that. The solution is to stitch the borders so that the matrix plane is made into a torroid. How to do that.

    I don't know any dicussion groups, but the game sounds easy enough to make. The user could specify the size of the grid.
