Why are interracial daters obsessed with race?

so true, i don't think all are like that, but majority of them are. They have to bring up the race of their significant other, as if it is some prize to not be dating black, they are the only ones proud of dating non-black

Not everyone in an interracial relationship is like this.....

But there are some of our people, particularly in the under 30 set, who cannot admit that they truly feel that being with someone of another race makes them "better" or that they view people of other races as "better".

You ask WHY?

Well, as far as those types of our people are concerned, they long ago accepted the larger society's definition of what was good versus what is bad.

Some of them also cannot look at the negativity some of our people have in terms of what they were taught or know....

In other words, they have come to believe what the average non Black racist believes...

Most of the people I know date all races, and I've only come across one couple who were like this

IT all depends on each person but mostly what I see are white women bragging on their Black men, LOL, as if they have hit the jackpot of all trophies. It's so lame and it's like they have something racial to prove or something.

Love who you love and leave it at that.

Youtube is filled with black women saying they want to date interracially, what's up with that.

Edit: I think it is insecurities, most people who date outside their race are insecure.

Actually some people are embarresed to say their spouse is _______. I'm not exactly mixed race but my mom is south american and my dad is middle eastern, my dad doesn't like to tell his friends his wife his hispanic.

Don't confuse those attention seekers with sensible interracial daters. You probably don't hear about the other ones because they don't rub it in your face like these seem to do.

Interracial daters are usually people that are viewed as unattractive by their own race or ethnic group so they have to date interracially. Just look at most of them when you go out and you will see.

I work with a black lady. She adores mulatto Children, and its really wierd.

She says she will only marry white. Her cousin actually has mulatto children.

Really though. It is just really sad.

They watch to much TV and think this is right.
